What we do and sell.
Salvage House source and create stylish, cool and funky furniture using vintage/antique furniture or from reclaimed materials like construction timbers and reclamation finds.
Our stock-in-trade pieces are sideboards/chests of drawers, coffee tables and dining tables but we aslo sell up-cycled lighting and vintage or reclaimed mirrors and other odd smaller items such as wine racks and coat stands.
Our style and preference can best be summed up by calling it 'rough-luxe', which incorporates industrial, reclaimed wood and steel and the glamour of decorative antique pieces and painted furniture.
The stuff we do and our taste is pretty much unique, certainly in East Lancashire. Although we paint up some furniture, it rarely falls under the category of 'shabby chic style', which we consider a little bit twee and passe for our liking. Our pieces tend to be more masculine, funkier and sometimes more urban.
We currently work out of a modest industrial unit in Whalley in The Ribble Valley, which we open as a shop every Sunday and selected other days. This suits our business model, as it provides us with flexibility during the week to source and sort stuff and and keeps overheads, and therefore prices, low. Many things are also available to view and buy on here. You can email us to arrange to look at anything you may have seen online during the week or evenings. We also open the workshop ad-hoc during the week if we are not busy and the place is in order!
